We are committed to implementing an effective Mathematics and science Program that is challenging and stimulating for all students. As the Mathematics/Science Facilitator, I am extremely enthusiastic about helping our students improve their mathematics and science skills and providing opportunities for students to recognize the application of mathematics and science in real life situations, as well.
This year, we are implementing the SECME (Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics Enhancement) Program. Our Fifth Grade Students will engage in hands-on activities that will enhance their mathematics and science skills. The goal of the program is to prepare and encourage students to enter careers in Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology.
A Science Laboratory has been established to provide an environment to conduct investigations based on scientific inquiry. Students will b able to work in cooperative groups that will allow them to explore, discover and quest the world around them.
We will have an exciting and enriching school year!
